Conditions of Toy Library Membership
Duty Roster - Toy Library (Option 1) members will be rostered to Open / Close a Saturday session approx. once every 6 months. The keys and instructions on how to do so are available at the Toy Library desk. Generally, one other person will be rostered with you. If you are unable to attend, please organise a swap or let a committee person know ASAP.
Duty of Care - Members should at all times select toys for borrowing that are suitable to the age and approriate to the level of development and skill of the individual child or children in their care. Members should inspect those toys and equipment for potential and possible hazards (obviuos or otherwise) and be aware of any injury or harm that may be caused by the use of that toy or equipment to an individual child or children in their care. If you notice something out of place, please let the Toy Library know. Members should provide approriate adult supervision at all times when children are in the vicinity of the Toy Library toys and equipement.
Hygienie Standards - Please return all toys in a clean and tidy state. As the Toy Library is run by volunteers, we ask all members to share the responsibilities for repairing and cleaning of toys. Returning toys on time and keeping the library clean with toys stored neatly.
Broken and damaged toys - Sometimes accidents happen and toys are damaged, broken or lost. Please arrange for prompt repair where you can. Otherwise make the rostered team member aware when returning so that the toy can be put aside. You may like to make a small donation to put towards replacements of loast and broken toys.
